At the Wilderness Inn Dining Facility (Bldg 647), Ft. Richardson, Alaska, Vice President Al Ostrowski welcomed the assembled group, which included the following:

 

 

At 11:50 a.m, the meeting was called to order. A quorum was present. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, Mr. Ostrowski called for a reading of the minutes for the April and May meetings by Mr. Stickney, Secretary Treasurer. They were approved as presented.

 

 

No one could recall if the funding for hosting the Chapter website had been approved. The price was quoted to be around $100/yr, so it was agreed that the Webmaster, Mr. Cain, should present a bill for the hosting service, which we can subject to a vote.

 

The Chapter fishing charter trip is locked in for 10 June with Chihuly Charters at Ninilchik.

 

 

The slate of candidates for election was as follows:

 

 

It was moved and seconded that the slate be accepted and so they were, by unanimous concurrence. Following jubilant applause and congratulations, the newly elected officers were administered the oath of office by our founder, CW5(R) Rob Bargewell.

 

 

As of 31 May 08, the Chapter Savings Account balance was $372.94 with no activity since the last Treasurer’s report.

 

It was pointed out that July will be a very busy month with many planned absences, leaves and gobs of fish to catch. Accordingly, it was proposed that skipping the July meeting would give the new board members planning and transition time prior to the regular August meeting. The motion to do so was unanimously approved.

 

Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 7 Aug 08 (11:45 a.m.) at the Wilderness Inn (dining facility) in Bldg 647 at Ft. Richardson. The official meeting was adjourned at 12:24 p.m.
