c. Memorabilia Custodian – Michelle Sprosty talked about a possible logo for our chapter. She explained the amount of colors would bring up the cost. She needs help on simplifying the logo. Curtis Cain said he would assist and eventually could put it on the website for the members to look at and vote on a finished product. It will take some chapter money to build our initial memorabilia.
d. By-Laws review committee – Al Ostrowski had no update.
9. Unfinished Business –
a. Asst VP for Retired affairs – Chapter President Randy Templeton is still looking for a volunteer. For now we will put this under tabled topic to be reopened when someone volunteers.

c. Fundraising opportunities – All-you-can-eat-spaghetti feed was discussed and Randy Templeton brought it to a vote of the members. The motion was made by Jeff Arnold and seconded by Clay Burton and the chapter agreed. On 11 April the chapter will host the spaghetti feed at Guido’s Pizza. In order for this fund raiser to be successful it is imperative that each member sells tickets. The tickets are $8.00 each which includes all you can eat spaghetti and salad. We will also hold a bake sale on site and the drinks can be purchased. The chapter must sell 150 tickets and will make $3.75 on each ticket sold. The member who sells the most tickets will be given a free one year membership to the USAWOA. If a member does not want to sell tickets, we are asking for $35 which will cover their annual fundraising contribution approved by the chapter in November 08.
d. Randy Templeton requested our chapter contribute $100 to the Salt Lake City Chapter for them to use for the Annual Meeting of the Members. Jeff Brehmer made a motion to make the contribution and West McCollum seconded the motion and the chapter agreed.
e. Corporate sponsorship – We are still looking for business rules. We will table this subject until more information comes available.
10. New Business –
a. Nominations for new Officers. Earlier in the meeting nomination forms for the election of new officers were passed out. In April we will discuss the nominations and in May the election will happen. Randy encouraged all members present if they are not going to be available for the election to fill out a proxy form. Ed Guzman is in charge of elections. Send your nomination forms to him or drop it off.
b. Volunteer organizations.
(1)If you are working as a volunteer, send us pictures so we can put them on the
website. We know many warrant officers are volunteering all the time. We would like to have the data and proudly display what you are doing for our community.
(2)Sometimes volunteer organizations request assistance. If we send out information
requesting for assistance, please look at helping out. We will try not to drop anything at the last minute but sometimes it happens.
